Katie is a Data Scientist, joining the 2OS team, full-time, this July of 2023. In the past, she has worked on developing a pipeline to automate the XGBoost model building process. She has gained experience building both credit risk and valuation models, as well as developing an optimal credit policy.

Katie is a recent graduate from the University of Virginia where she received her B.A. in Applied Statistics with a Data Science concentration and a Computer Science minor. During her time at UVA, she was a project leader for 180 Degrees Consulting, an organization that works with local nonprofits in the Charlottesville community. Previously, she was a teaching assistant for a statistics course and had various internships working as a data analyst and website developer.

In her free time Katie enjoys drawing, sailing at the beach, and traveling. She recently returned from backpacking through Europe and hopes to keep adding more countries to her travel list. Katie also loves to foster animals and can’t wait to adopt a dog of her own.
